ELECTRICAL TECHNOLOGY

Electrical Technology is the study of the fundamentals of electrical work, terminology, basic principles, and the theory underlying general practices to work in entry-level electrical positions.

The course includes Ohm’s Law, electrical math, electrical properties, proper grounding, branch circuits and services, blueprint reading, local and national codes, troubleshooting, and motor controls.

After 1080 classroom hours you will be eligible to sit for the State Fire Marshal’s Journeyman Electrical Test.

Anyone interested in taking this program should have a good basic math background that includes Algebra. A sincere interest in the field is imperative.
