Adult Basic Education

 

 

The Adult Basic Education Classes provides GED, College Prep, Career Exploration, and Computer Instruction.

Help for preparing for the GED test can be obtained at the Adult Learning Center in the Putnam Career & Technical Center, Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and on Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.  For more information, please call 586-2411.
 

New rules for GED test effective July 1, 2008:  there will be no charge for taking the GED Test.  However, prior to taking the GED Test, all applicants must take and pass the Official Practice Test (OPT).

 

The Official Practice Test (OPT) for the GED Test will be given in the Adult Learning Center, room 7C at the Putnam Career and Technical Center in Eleanor, WV. Please call 586-2411 to schedule a time.

 

            Classes for preparing for the GED Test are offered Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m., until 3:00 p.m.

           The GED Orientation and GED Test will be held in the library of George Washington Middle School in Eleanor,                  

           WV. You must have a photo ID and a voucher stating that you have completed and passed the Official  Practice       

           Test (OPT).   The GED Test is given once a month. Please call 586-0500 extension 150 to register for  the GED Test

  Also available is an online class to prepare for these exams.  Any potential student wishing to access the online class will need to come into the Adult Learning Center to register.  The cost is free.  Call 586-2411 for more information
