On this page are examples of students' illustrations using various hand-generated techniques and traditional drawing and painting mediums. These images were created by students in the Illustration classes, which are the first courses taught in the two-year program.
These images demonstrate what students can accomplish within the first semester of the graphic design program. As you can see, with dedication students are able to reach an impressive level of mastery within a short time period.
Here you see examples of wash technique on both wet and dry paper, pointillism technique using both india ink and B pencil, various texture techniques, and drybrush technique in both tempera paint and india ink.
The student artist and mediums used are listed below each illustration.
